May 22, 2021

Racing at Clarksville today with KPRO, 500R, and 175H.

Over 200 entries came to do battle on Lake Ludwick and the pits are full of mud and equipment. Heavy rains proceeded our dates and rain has continued yesterday and today.

In KPRO Cooper Thompson has not lost sight of the victory circle looks like as he put a 3 heat win on the board. Joe Perez was not hard to find in the battle for the number one position along with Braden Gryskiewicz, in his first race ever picked up the bronze medal as third over all. Cousin Hudson Gryskiewicz went over in a heat, but was not injured.

In the 175H First heat Pete Kelly stole the start with Brad Dygert and David Jones way back. However, Dygert used his speed to catch Pete and took the heat.

Pete was not going to be denied and won the last two heats as Dygert’s pipes let go and was way off the pace. Enter Jones who diced back and forth and took the lead in the 2nd heat only to have Pete take the win with a great drive. The 3rd heat was all Pete as Jones and a great run by Ethan Fox as he and Jones dukes it out in the 2nd and 3rd heats netted Ethan the Bronze over all.

In 500R, Andy Kirts can only what if, while at the same time put this class on notice he might be the one to beat. Andy in the first heat saw him sitting on the water as Jason Sailer biding his time took Austin Van Over for the win. In the 2nd and 3rd heats, forget about it as Andy put the hurt on the entire field with convincing wins.

Jason as I said won the first heat and finished2nd in the other two to take the win overall, while Andy and Austin took the next two spots on the podium. Yesterday was quite the show for the 4th generation driver as his speed over the field in the 2nd and 3rd heats was outstanding
